National women's organizations demand resignation of Chandramukhi Devi

The rape case in Badaun has now gained momentum. This is a matter which has been quite embarrassing and there is anger across the country. In this case, a member of the National Commission for Women, Chandramukhi Devi gave a statement, which has created a sensational atmosphere. Chandramukhi Devi, a member of the Women's Commission, reached the victim's house earlier, she said, 'Women should not stay outside the house till late evening, they should return home on time.' There has been a ruckus since her statement. Many people did not like her statement and people are calling her bad.

Chandramukhi had said about the Badaun victim earlier and said, "If the victim had gone with a man in the house or a child, such an incident might not have happened to her." Recently National women's organizations have issued a joint statement strongly condemning this statement of Chandramukhi Devi. This statement said, "It is a shameful thing that the Women's Commission which should stand up publicly for women's rights, take action to apprehend the culprits, it is a terrible insecurity for women in the Yogi government." In order to cover the atmosphere, the victim is engaged in holding the incident response." It is also said, "It is quite shocking that a woman who is propagating such feudal and patriarchal ideas. She is a member of the National Commission for Women. We demand her resignation from the Women's Commission. ''
