ISLAMABAD: Six terrorists were apprehended in separate intelligence-based operations in Pakistan's eastern Punjab province on Monday, November 29, according to the police's Counter Terrorism Department (CTD).

The extremists were captured following a number of operations initiated across different cities in Punjab based on an intelligence tip-off, according to the Punjab Counter-Terrorism Department. According to sources, the militants planned to carry out terror actions in the province, but authorities intervened in time, saving the area from probable attacks.

Terrorists were also in possession of a large cache of explosives, sophisticated weapons, hand grenades, and other sensitive materials, which were recovered by police.
