"People are using sanitizer more fearing coronavirus. Due to frequent washing of hands with soap, the skin of the hand is becoming dry. There are people who are washing their hands frequently or using sanitizer even while staying at home, there is no need to do all this often. Due to wearing N-95 masks, skin problems are also reported in people", says Dr Nitin Pandya, Assistant Professor of Dermatology Department of Gandhi Medical College, Bhopal.

Due to excessive sweating in summer, many problems can occur in the skin. Sudden heat from low temperature causes the sweat pores to not open, due to which sweat stops inside the body. Pimples start appearing due to bacterial infection. Fungal infections are seen due to persistent moisture in the body.

Take care of these things

Do not clean hands repeatedly with sanitizer if you are at home.

Take a bath with clean water. Use appropriate soap according to the skin.

To remove dryness of hands, apply petroleum jelly, coconut oil or rose water at night.

Remove the mask and keep the facial skin clean, so that sweat and bacteria do not accumulate.

In many studies, it has been found that due to the high amount of alcohol in the hand sanitizer, it is capable of killing the virus. However, later studies have also shown side effects of its excessive use. It has been found that excessive use of sanitizer can cause dryness, itching and many other problems in the hands.
