New Delhi: An interesting game of 'Battle of Power' is currently going on in the country's capital Delhi. After the victory in the Supreme Court, the officer who was barred from work by the Arvind Kejriwal government of Delhi, has once again got his post. In fact, the central government has overturned the decision of the Supreme Court by bringing an ordinance and after this the Vigilance Chief YVVJ Rajasekhar got back his post and work. Actually, the Kejriwal government had taken away all the work from Rajasekhar by accusing him of corruption and even his office was sealed.

But, do you know, Rajasekhar is the same officer who is probing the Rs 45 crore spent on the decoration of CM Kejriwal's official government residence. Let us tell you that this Operation Sheeshmahal case is also very complicated, in the sting of the media, it is being claimed that 45 crores have been spent on Kejriwal's house, while Congress leader Ajay Maken is saying that, a total of 171 crores have been spent in it. He says that, to expand his bungalow, Kejriwal has not added the expenses of the officials who have vacated the houses of the surrounding officers. Maken has also given a written complaint to the LG in this regard. In such a situation, this matter has become very sensitive. Now after the central government got back to work, they have started turning over the files and first of all they are checking whether these files have been tampered between their departure and return? Rajasekhar had complained to his higher officials fearing that the evidence might be tampered with.

According to officials, on Monday (May 22) the Vigilance Directorate of the Delhi government issued an order allowing Rajasekhar, who holds the post of Special Secretary, to continue with his work. The order issued by Lieutenant Governor (LG) VK Saxena said that the directorate's additional director Rajasekhar can proceed with his work as on May 10. Let us tell you that, on May 13, after the Supreme Court gave power to the Kejriwal government, AAP's Services Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj had taken away the entire work from Rajasekhar and distributed it among assistant directors. In fact, in the order of May 11, the Supreme Court had told the control of the Delhi government on all the work related to service matters including transfer-posting. At the same time, apart from land, police, and public order, the central government was given control over the officers of all the departments.

Soon after getting this power, the Kejriwal government issued an order to unseal the official chambers 403 and 404 of the Special Secretary Vigilance in the Delhi Secretariat. According to officials, Rajasekhar barged into his office alleging that files related to the liquor scam and expenditure on the government bungalow were tampered with, after which these were sealed. Seeking action from senior officials, Rajasekhar also expressed apprehension that 'bugs' might have been planted in the rooms and this could lead to breach of privacy.

After this, Officer Rajasekhar has sent a copy of the complaint to the Union Home Ministry and the LG office along with informing the Delhi Police. Soon after taking up the job, Rajasekhar ordered an inventory of the files, which included counting the pages of the files kept in his office and the confidential section. Meanwhile, Delhi Police has also started investigation on the complaint of Rajasekhar. The Delhi Police official has informed that the CCTV footage installed in the corridor and other parts outside both the rooms are being scrutinised. An official has told the media that, 'In CCTV we can see that many people are roaming with files in the corridor. The footage is being closely examined. This is a sensitive matter and we are probing it.' Let us tell you that this CCTV footage is from the time when Rajasekhar was not in his office after being removed by the Kejriwal government.
