Lucknow: Three people lost their lives in a fire incident at PGI Hospital in Lucknow. This includes a woman, a newborn and a teenager. The relatives of the deceased have also accused the hospital administration of negligence. He has said that the doctors and nurses had fled from the operation theater as soon as the fire broke out. If the patients had been rescued in time, their lives could have been saved. After this accident, Chief Minister Yogi has taken cognizance of the matter. Meanwhile, Deputy CM and Health Minister Brajesh Pathak has ordered an investigation. Actually, on Monday around 1 pm, the fire had spread in the OT of PGI after sparks came out from the monitor. When the fire broke out, 26 year old Taiba of Pilibhit and Neha of Ghazipur were undergoing surgery for their newborn. Within no time the fire broke out from the OT and spread everywhere.

The family members of the deceased narrated their ordeal: Reports say that it is the fault of Taiba's family members that in the atmosphere of chaos, instead of taking the patient out of the OT, the doctors, nurses and staff all ran away. He ran away leaving the patient to die. Due to which Taiba lost her life due to burns.
Along with this, 10 year old Gaurav of Sonbhadra, who was admitted in the hospital, also died. Both Taiba and Gaurav were unconscious due to the dose of anesthesia given. If they had been taken out on time, perhaps such a big incident would not have happened. At the same time, in the second OT, a newborn was going to undergo heart surgery. But he also died a painful death due to smoke and fire. He was only 30 days old. However, he was taken out of OT. But by then it was too late.

How did the fire start?: In this entire case, the Director of PGI has said that the fire broke out due to spark from the monitor in the OT. Within some time this fire started spreading in the work station and the entire OT. After this, the work of shifting of patients started immediately. However, the lives of some people could not be saved. Orders were also given for a high level inquiry into the incident.

CM and Deputy became strict: Chief Minister Yogi expressed grief over the case and assured all possible help to the families of the deceased. He has also given instructions to investigate the accident and take action. Meanwhile, regarding the fire incident in PGI Hospital, Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak has said that this incident is very unfortunate. The government is with the families of the victims. Whoever is found guilty in the incident, strict action will be taken against him. Along with this, Brajesh Pathak said that safety audit of all government hospitals of UP including PGI will be conducted. Besides, instructions have also been issued to conduct safety audit of all district level hospitals and operation theatres.
