Vijayawada: Newly appointed BJP President of Andhra Pradesh Somu Veeraraju has taken the oath. He has taken oath in the swearing-in ceremony held today. This oath ceremony has been completed without any fanfare. This event was held on Tuesday and BJP's national general secretary Ram Madhav, BJP's state assistant in-charge D Sunil, G Madhukar, Purandeshwari, Kanna Lakshminarayan and other party leaders were involved.

After taking the oath, BJP President Veeraraju said that "The development of the state and the country is the only goal of the BJP. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has implemented many welfare programs. Everyone should move forward in life and this means that light should be filled in everyone's life. Every poor should get the benefit of government welfare programs". Veeraraju also said, "Through the Jan Dhan account, the light has been filled in the lives of the poor. Elections should also be held on time. BJP is going to take the necessary steps in the development of Andhra Pradesh".

BJP national general secretary Ram Madhav said, "It is not easy to come to power in Andhra Pradesh. The new president Veeraraju has been given the responsibility to make the party more powerful." Apart from this, the General Secretary said, "The central government has never interfered on the decision of the capital till date. And will not do even in the future ahead. The central government will have a perimeter of its own."
