Kolkata: Former captain of Team India and known as Bengal Tiger, Sourav Ganguly has praised the current captain of the team, Virat Kohli. Ganguly said that Virat is India's most successful Indian Test captain. He said that Kohli will also push Dhoni back in this case. Captain Virat Kohli has recently equalled Dhoni's record of winning the most Test matches as a captain. With this, he is easily seen doing this record in his name.

The Indian team is currently playing the second Test match against the West Indies at Kingston and if he wins in this match then Kohli will become the most successful captain of India in the Test. Former captain Ganguly said that Kohli is a great captain and he is getting better day by day. He was criticized a lot in the IPL, but even then I said that I trust his captaincy. He captained well in the World Cup.

It is unfortunate that we lost in the semi-finals, but I think he has progressed as a captain. Sourav Ganguly also said that Rishabh Pant is a great player and India will have to be patient with him. The former captain said that Pant is not Dhoni nor will he become Dhoni in the next 3-4 years. It has taken 15 years for Dhoni to become who he is today. Dhoni is a special player in Indian cricket. Along with this, Pant is also special to the team. His record in Tests is excellent. Significantly, recently Ganguly said that the team should learn to play without Dhoni.
