Eminent veteran driver Louis Hamilton achieved the Spanish Grand Prix on Sunday, the 88th achievement of his Formula-One career. He is now only three wins behind Michael Schumacher's record of most wins in Formula One. With this victory, Hamilton also led by 37 points in the drivers' points table.
Mercedes of Hamilton defeated second-placed Max Verstappen by a big difference of 24 seconds. Versatappen has managed to make it to the podium 8 times in the last nine races. Valteri Bottas has secured the third position. The top-seeded female tennis player, Romania's Simona Halep, won the Prague Open winning trophy on Sunday in the final match of the women's singles by defeating Belgium's Elyse Mertes 6–2, 7–5 in direct sets. This is the 21st WTA Award in Hallep's career. This is his second award this year. Earlier, he won the Dubai Championship in February.
The process of withdrawing players' names from popular tennis tournaments continues. World number eight female tennis player Belinda Bancic has also decided not to play in the tournament after former number one Spain's Rafael Nadal.
