Patna: The Bihar government may make thousands of claims regarding the prohibition of liquor, but the picture that is coming out from Katihar district of the state is enough to expose the administration. A video of this smuggling is also going viral on social media, which has also been shared from the Twitter account of Rashtriya Janata Dal. The most surprising thing is that Katihar is also the home district of Deputy Chief Minister Tar Kishore Prasad.

Maniya Halt is just few km from Katihar Junction. Every day a large consignment of liquor is brought here by trains coming from Bengal. The consignment of liquor is unloaded by pulling a slow moving train or chain. Sometimes trains are stopped midway too. Thereafter, the smugglers use their carriers to get the liquor off the train. Seeing the same video, everyone's senses have been blown away that even after making so many claims by the government, such a large quantity of liquor is being brought.

In the past, 32 people have lost their lives so far in Amarpur block of Bhagalpur, Naugachia and Banka due to drinking poisonous liquor in Bihar on Holi. The relatives of the deceased say that they had consumed alcohol. The doctors had told that there was a danger of loss of his eyesight. However, the administration is not ready to accept the argument of the relatives of drinking spurious liquor.
