Srikakulam: The State Government has issued orders to Pay Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs) to deduct 10 to 50 percent in the salary of RC No.: 1/A/2021/GSWS based on the attendance of the employees from September 23 to October 22. . As per the orders, the DDOs are.

But the employees of village and ward level secretariats reportedly said that field level issues like poor network, outdated equipment, server down etc are due to non-registration of attendance through biometric machines. He further stated that they are unable to immediately mark their presence while attending field and protocol duties. Most of the employees of the Secretariat are working on deputation and on additional duties how such persons can mark their presence. He said that the government is implementing biometric attendance without considering field level issues.
