New Delhi: The corona epidemic has once again gained momentum, with CM Capt Amarinder Singh announcing the imposition of night curfew in 9 cities in view of the rising corona case in Punjab. The night curfew will be applicable from 9 am to 5 pm. Chief Minister Amarinder said on Thursday that the night curfew guidelines will be issued by evening, which will continue till the night curfew is controlled. On the other hand, the Kejriwal government has come on alert over corona in Delhi.

Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has convened a meeting today. Prior to the meeting, Delhi Health Minister Sayendra Jain said that it is not yet a matter of concern, Delhi's positivity rate is less than 1 per cent and more and more people are being screened here. Let me tell you that the number of new corona patients in Punjab between March 1 and 17 has increased four times. On March one, 500 new cases were reported, while 2045 new cases have been reported on March 17.

At the same, the death toll from corona is also increasing. On Wednesday, 39 persons died in a day, while 392 persons lost their lives in the past one month. The number of corona cases in Punjab that are growing again is breaking the past record. In the month of September last year, there were 2067 new cases in a day and now the same number has gone up in March. On the one hand, vaccine is also being planted, on the other hand, the death toll in Punjab has reached 6172 so far. In the month of February, 8,706 cases were registered in Punjab, while about one thousand new cases are coming up every day in March.
