Srinagar: The Army has been called in after imposing a curfew in the Bhaderwah area of the Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir. Also, internet services have been suspended. These steps were taken after communal tension escalated. Stone pelting has also been reported in the area. It is being told that the tension in the area has increased after a poisonous speech by a Maulana from a mosque. Who had threatened to slit the throat of suspended BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma.

The Doda Deputy Commissioner has imposed a curfew in some areas to control the situation. Additional DGP of Jammu range Mukesh Singh has said that those who take the law in their hands will not be spared. Strict action is being taken against such people. Earlier, tension prevailed after an ancient temple was demolished in Bhaderwah. This temple is also known as the name of Bhadrakashi. A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been constituted to probe the incident. At the same time, reports are coming out that conspiracies are being hatched to create tension in Bhaderwah (Doda) and Kishtwar districts through inflammatory speeches. Provocative announcements are being made from the mosque.

Threatening to slit Nupur Sharma's throat, the Maulana says, "Brothers, time also teaches us to behead. To put things in mind that we are silent as long as we have tolerance.
