New Delhi: Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and Rajya Sabha MP Subramanian Swamy said on Thursday that his party was not making India a Hindu nation and the Constitution also does not allow it. He has said that the BJP will remain in the government until it works on the ideology of Hindutva. Subramaniam Swamy said that Congress has gained power in the past by uniting minorities and dividing Hindus. He said that Hindus should unite as a community by forgetting political differences.
According to media reports, at a digital conference organized by the Club of Foreign Correspondents, Swamy expressed his views, where AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi was also invited to address. Swami has stated that "For many years the Congress managed to divide Hindus and keep minorities together and hence it succeeded in forming a government repeatedly from time to time."
BJP leader Subramanian Swamy said that the Congress allegedly divided Hindus on the basis of fruitless historical views of Arya Dravid, caste etc. The BJP leader said that BJP's vote percentage has increased due to the ideology of Hindutva. Swamy said, "If Hindutva ideology continues, we will win the election even further."
