New Delhi:-  Sudha Murthy is known to be a renowned teacher and philanthropist, but did you know that she is a foodie at heart? She said, "India is not a country. India is a continent. Food, tastes, clothes and ways of speaking change every 150km. Hubli tastes different when compared to Karnataka, for example.

The taste varies greatly in Mysuru, Bengaluru, Kudremuk, Coorg, etc. In India, there are so many varieties, so many ways, so many combinations," Sudha said during a conversation with food critic Kunal Vijayakar on the cooking show Khane Mein Kya Hai?

The two indulged in sumptuous dishes from Mysuru cuisine including peanut koshanbir, tender cashews and tondli   sabji, raita and south Indian pulao, coconut and jaggery sweet pori, sabdana and sevaikheer, and akki or rice flour roti.

Sudha repeatedly said she loves to eat and admitted that she was "not a good cook." However, she can master simple cooking skills. "I'm not a good cook. I don't hate cooking, but I don't know how to cook," said Sudha, who is married to entrepreneur and Infosys NR founder Narayan Murthy.

She continued, "Ever since I was a kid, I've always traveled for work, so I didn't have enough time to cook. But I don't fast. If no one is home, I don't go to the hotel to eat. Make delicious parotta, dal and sabzi. I know how to cook simple dishes. Rice, dal, sambar, parotta, sabji But I don't know how to do puranpoli The house has a simple kitchen. "

Considering she's a professional world traveler, how is she coping abroad? "When I travel, I like to be adventurous when it comes to work, but not when it comes to food. I'm scared. I'm a pure vegetarian." (I don't eat) I don't eat eggs or garlic," Sudha revealed.

"I worry that vegetarians and non-vegetarians use the same spoon. It's on my mind. When I go out, I look for vegetarian restaurants, and I always carry a bag full of food. I make 25-30 chapattis. I fry the gristle and mule and prepare it for eating. Just add warm water to the mixture. I'll take Poha. Take a cooking bag with a small stove. I always used to make fun of her grandmother when she carried such a bag. I am doing the same now. I carry my own food," Sudha said. 

When Sudha realized that her husband was avoiding sweets and didn't like them, she laughed out loud and admitted that she loves sweets of all kinds. “Narayan Marty does not eat sweets. I love sweets. He is not a gourmet at all. He likes Bisibelle Bhaat which I also make," said Sudha.

"It's very difficult to choose a particular kind of food in India," Sudha said, adding, "I like a lot of foods, like Dhokra, Basundhi from Kohlapur, Shrikhand from Pune, Bakarwadi from Chitale Bandhu Mitaiwale, Sandesh from Kolkata, Jalebi from Rajasthan, Pineapple from Tripura, Dum Aloo from Kashmir."

When Sudha realized that her husband avoids and doesn't like sweets, she laughed out loud and admitted that she loves sweets of all kinds. She said, "Narayan Marty doesn't eat sweets. I love sweets." Sudha talked about mangoes through her book How Mangoes Got Its Magic, saying that mangoes are an integral part of India's ecosystem. “Mango is loved all over India. Mango appears in the Vedas. The mango tree is an auspicious tree to which mango leaves are placed even at weddings. I call mango the nectar of the earth. Each state has its own mango.

To me he is nothing like Hapus. Throughout the Konkan Belt to Goa, nothing compares to the Hapus," said Sudha, adding that the idea for the children's book came from the story of the tomato and how it transformed from an ornamental fruit into an everyday vegetable.

Sudha Murthy wife of Narayan murthy has her own diet and propee hygienic food prepared that she eats and is that fit after having all that. She also told that she also is not that vegetarian and doesn’t have garlic also.
