The former manager of the Indian cricket team, Sunil Subramaniam has now claimed that a support staff of Team India had misbehaved with the housekeeping staff of a hotel in Antigua on a tour of the West Indies. The incident took place during the Antigua Test match between India and the West Indies. The case was investigated by the police there. According to an English newspaper, they alleged that the BCCI suppressed the case and no action was taken against the accused staff.

During that tour, he was also accused of not following the instructions from the Indian Embassy. According to the newspaper, Sunil gave the information about the incident to the board of administrators of the board via email on 25 September. He had mentioned the incident in his mail with the housekeeping staff and had written that according to what was revealed in the investigation, the accused person was a support staff member of Team India. However, later he wrote another mail asking to ignore the former.
