Supreme court asked suggestions to Sikh petitioners

New Delhi: On social media there are so many websites which posting jokes on the Sikh community, that type of pranks hurt the whole community. The petitioners file the suit against it and seeking a ban of those websites.

The Supreme Court asked to lawyer Harvinder Chowdhury and the Delhi Gurudwara Managing Committee who are the petitioners  to give some suggestions on it. The Chief Justice of India TS Thakur said to petitioners, “to tell something which they can be done in our judicial capacity”

 

The appellant have argued that pranks on the Sikh community are distributed more because of social media.

In Supreme Court, a lawyer urged that we had  have so many leaders who were Sikhs and also our former PM was Sikh. In response of which Chief Justice said “you had Sikh army chief too and may be soon the Chief Justice will be the  Sikh(pointing to Justice JS Khehar)

That’s why the court has asked the petitioners to come up with their suggestions within six weeks.
