On Friday, the Supreme Court amended the order of the Telangana High Court, which imposed a ban on the sale and use of crackers. This is a big relief for fire cracker shop owners in the state. Now people can use and sell environmentally friendly crackers. This ordinance is in line with the directions of the National Green Tribunal (NGT).

This change has taken place as Hyderabad comes into the moderate category of pollution, which is uncontaminated green crackers that can explode without breaking the rules for two hours. If the state government does not mention the crackers cracking, the Diwali day will be between 8 and 10 pm, the SC said. Justice Am Khanwilkar and Sanjeev Khanna heard the writ petition filed by the Telangana Fireworks Dealers Association challenging the High Court order and the Supreme Court vacation bench had heard the interim order posting the next hearing on the case till November 16.

Meanwhile, Advocate Jayakrishna, advocate of telangana fireworks dealer association, said that the original NGT order of November 9, although the national capital region (NCR) had imposed a total ban on crackers, it would apply to all cities and towns in the country. The average air quality in November falls into a poor and higher category.
