New Delhi: A petition has been filed in the Supreme Court on behalf of the Kisan Mahapanchayat. The organization has appealed to the court that farmers should be allowed to protest against three new agricultural laws brought by the Centre at Jantar Mantar. Hearing a petition filed by Kisan Mahapanchayat, the apex court said there is no point in filing a petition seeking a demonstration.

The court said, if you believe in the court, trust the court. What is the need for performance? On the one hand, you have strangled the entire city and now you want to come to Jantar Mantar. The Supreme Court has directed the Kisan Mahapanchayat to send a copy of the petition to the office of the Central Agency (Law Department, Central Government) and the Attorney General. The court has also directed to file an affidavit in this regard that Kisan Mahapanchayat is not involved in blocking roads.

The next hearing on the case in the Supreme Court will be held on Monday. The Supreme Court told the Kisan Mahapanchayat that you have the right to protest, but you cannot destroy the property. This trade should be closed. You are also harassing the defence people, that has to be stopped.
