NEW DELHI: There is a lot of opposition to the demolition of the temple of Sant Ravidas on the Supreme Court's order. The people of the society are said to be deeply saddened by the move. In view of the forthcoming assembly elections, politics has also begun.
On Wednesday, a demonstration is also being held to protest against the demolition of the temple at Jantar Mantar. The Aam Aadmi Party has decided to join the demonstration. The Congress, AAP and the BJP are blaming each other. But the court is not happy with this politics.

The court said, the Issue of Ravidas Temple, which was demolished in the Tughlakabad forest area, should not be politicized. The court had also directed the Delhi, Haryana and Punjab governments not to deteriorate the law and order situation in the matter and make necessary arrangements for the same.
People from Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and Dalit society are expected to participate in the demonstration to be held on August 21. People from Sikh society are also expected to participate in the demonstration as the Sikh community also pays respects to Sant Ravidas.

Social Welfare Minister Rajendra Pal Gautam said on Tuesday that the temple of Ravidas was very dear to the Scheduled Castes. The people of society are very much hurt by the demolition of the temple. People want this temple to be rebuilt. The Congress and AAP are accusing the BJP of being double-edged in the matter.
