New Delhi: The country's largest court will give its verdict today (November 26) on the political struggle in Maharashtra. The apex court had reserved its order for 10.30 am on Tuesday on the matter of invitation given by Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari to BJP-Ajit Pawar in Maharashtra to form the government. In this way, BJP-Ajit Pawar got at least one day's relief.

The apex court said that the verdict on Maharashtra will be pronounced at 10.30 am on Tuesday. Solicitor Tushar Mehta appeared in the court on behalf of the government. He has told the court that he has 'brought to the BJP a letter of support given by NCP MLAs, on the basis of which the governor decided, and gave an opportunity to BJP-Ajit Pawar to form the government'.

Mehta said, 'It is clear in the letter that Ajit Pawar had handed over the letter supporting the NCP's 54 MLAs to the Governor with a signature. He further said that, only after the letter submitted by Ajit Pawar on November 22, Devendra Fadnavis had submitted a claim to form the government, along with the letter of support from 11 independent and other MLAs.
