Age is just a number, and many people keep proving this point from time to time. Now look at 93-year-old Surjeet Kaur, who started athletics sometime ago and has won 10 gold medals (state six and national four) in her short career of six months. By joining athletics and winning 10 gold medals at the age of taking care of grandchildren, Surjit Kaur has proved that age is just a number.

Started playing after seeing her daughter: Surjeet Kaur wants to go not only at the state and national level but also at the international level and is going to compete in the international championship to be held in Canada in August. Surjeet Kaur had fractured both her legs 5 years ago and came to live with her daughter in Sangrur only 6 months ago. The daughter has been participating in athletics since the age of 6. One day she went to see her practise in City Park with her daughter, and the next day she reached the ground, showing interest in sports. After one month, she has also won gold medals in the 100- and 200-metre races in Chandigarh. After which she also won gold in the 100 metres and 400 metres at the state level games in Jaipur.

Was interested in sports from the beginning: Surjit Kaur, born in 1930, has said in a conversation with a newspaper that she was interested in sports from the beginning but could never be encouraged. After her marriage in Patiala, there was no time for herself due to being busy with daily work. She has said that the National Games were held in Bengaluru from March 27 to 30, in which she won gold in 100 metres, 400 metres, discus throw, and shot put and won six gold medals at the state level and four gold medals at the national level.
