Television actor Swaminathan Anantharaman, popularly known as Mithun from the daily soap opera Mithuna Rashi, is set to enter Sandalwood with an as-yet-untitled film directed by Paramesh. Kamarottu Checkpost and Mamu Tea Angadi are a couple of Paramesh's previous films.
An elated Swaminathan says, “Many scripts came to me, but nothing drew me. It is content which I was looking for rather than commercial dramas. I heard the narration of this film from the director for about two hours. It excited me and I accepted the project. The shooting will begin next month at an old house located near Mangaluru.”
Talking about his role in the movie, the young actor says, “I play the role of an ayurvedic doctor who is doing research and goes through some unusual experiences. I am delighted to share screen space with Raghavendra Rajkumar in this project, which is being made in five languages.”
Swaminathan, who has no plans of quitting television to concentrate on a filmi career, further adds, "It's all about managing time between two mediums of entertainment, which hopefully I can handle."
About the film, director Paramesh says, “There are three different stories in the movie which revolve around a couple, researcher and a cook’s family who witnesses paranormal activities.”
