Kabul: A few hours after a bomb blast outside a mosque in Kabul, its fighters attacked an Islamic State (Islamic State ISIS-K) hideout in the Afghan capital and killed several militants, the Taliban said on Monday. Let us tell you that five civilians were killed in Sunday's bomb blast outside the Idgah mosque. No terror group claimed responsibility for the attack, but soon after the attack, suspicions fell on the Islamic State group, which has stepped up its attacks since the Taliban captured Kabul in mid-August.

All Taliban officials were gathered at the mosque to mourn the death of the mother of the organization's spokesman Zabeehullah Mujahid. Mujahid said in a statement on Monday that Taliban fighters have attacked an Islamic State center at Khair Khana, north of Kabul. Mujahid, however, did not say how many IS terrorists were killed in the attack and whether any Taliban fighters were also injured.

The blast was the most dangerous since the Taliban's occupation of Afghanistan on Sunday. Earlier, the Islamic State group had taken responsibility for the August 26 attack, killing more than 169 Afghans and 13 U.S. soldiers outside Kabul airport.
