In Tamil Nadu, it will be 100 days since the MK Stalin-led DMK government came to power on August 15. Prior to that, the full budget for the current financial year will be tabled on August 13. There is an expectation that the election promises will be fulfilled and new announcements will be made. Opposition parties have been waging a series of protests, claiming that the DMK has not fulfilled its election promises.

In this context, the Tamil Nadu All Part Time Teachers Federation has put forward an important demand. According to C. Senthil Kumar, state coordinator of the federation, more than 12,000 people are waiting for the announcement of their permanent job in the budget to meet the demand of part-time teachers working in the batch for the 11th academic year. The DMK has promised to make part-time teachers permanent during the legislative election campaign. Promises were also made in the election manifesto. The Chief Minister should make us permanent in the budget itself.  But in academia we have just finished 10 academic years. Now the 11th academic year has begun. We are still working on the package. In this working environment, many people are in their 40s to 55s and are unable to go to any other job. The livelihood of the aggregated teachers who are thus working is greatly affected.

They want to hire us on a regular basis and make us permanent. Dr. Artist perpetuated 55,000 compiled teachers when they were prime minister. Similarly, Chief Stalin said that the 12,000 part-time teachers currently working in the complex should be made permanent. He noted that we are very much looking forward to fulfilling the demand for part-time teachers' tenure within 100 days of coming to power.
