Chennai: The election phase is going on in the country, meanwhile, during the Tamil Nadu assembly elections on Sunday, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi held a public rally in Chennai. In the rally, Rahul Gandhi attacked PM Narendra Modi and Amit Shah a lot. Rahul Gandhi said that relations in the Bharatiya Janata Party can only last if you keep touching the feet of the top leaders of the party. Due to this, he said that he had seen Tamil Nadu CM E Palaniswami bending down in front of PM Narendra Modi and touching his feet and thus he did not like being forced to bow down.

Citing a photo, Rahul Gandhi blamed the big leaders of the BJP and said that there is a possibility of relations going on in the BJP only when you bow your head in front of PM Modi and Amit Shah. He further added, "I have seen that PM Modi is controlling the CM of Tamil Nadu and is speaking peacefully to touch his feet. Recently a junior Congress leader had joined the Bharatiya Janata Party and brought a photo of him to meet Amit Shah. I saw him touching Amit Shah's feet".

He said, "I cannot accept this. However, the CM of Tamil Nadu in a state with such a big language and tradition has no need to bow down to Amit Shah, but because he is also engaged in corruption, he is forced to bow to Amit Shah and Prime Minister Modi. This made me angry that the leaders are bowing down to these people and that is why I am here today. I want to build a relationship with Tamil people that is equal". Due to this, he also took a sarcasm about the language and said, "I do not want an India where one language is more cosmopolitan than another".
