In major support and solidarity to Kerala rain fury, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin has announced Rs 1 crore assistance to Kerala state, which was badly affected by the monsoon. Funding has been announced from the funds of the DMK Charitable Trust.

Earlier, The Dalai Lama Trust had announced Rs 11 lakh for relief work. The Lama announced the funding in a letter to the Chief Minister. The Dalai Lama mourned the loss of life and property due to floods and landslides in many parts of Kerala. Condolences to the families who lost loved ones. He said he understood that the state government and the concerned authorities were making every effort for the rescue operation and the relief work was going well.
