Chennai: Corona cases in Tamil Nadu are increasing day by day. There have been 5,834 new cases of coronavirus on Tuesday (August 11) and now the total number of infected people has increased. It has reached 3 lakh 8 thousand 649. It is being told that the death toll has increased to 5,159, with 118 more people deaths. Recently the Health Department has issued a bulletin. In this bulletin, it is said that 52,810 people are undergoing treatment for coronavirus in the state, while a total of 6005 patients have been discharged from many different hospitals. Apart from this, a total of two lakh 50 thousand 680 patients have become healthy so far.

The rate of recovery of patients has reached 81.21 percent. It was 80.80 percent on Monday. Talking about the new cases, most of these have come from Chennai metropolis. A total of 986 cases have been reported from there and 1080 infection cases were reported in three neighboring districts of Chengalpet, Thiruvallur and Kanchipuram. A total of 877 cases have been reported in Ranipet, Tirupathur, Vellore, Thiruvannamalai, Villupuram and Kallakurichi districts. 1232 cases have been reported in Madurai, Sivaganga, Virudhunagar, Tuticorin, Tirunelveli, Tenkasi, Theni, Ramanathapuram and Kanyakumari. The figures are increasing day by day.

Health Minister C. Vidyasagar says that, despite the epidemic, people suffering from other diseases continue to be treated in government hospitals. Apart from this, he has also said in another statement, '24/7 emergency medical services are going on. 5.09 crore outpatients and 27.30 lakh inpatients have been treated in Tamil Nadu government hospitals since March.'
