In this case, BJP leader Khushboo Sundar has been taken into custody in Chengalpattu district by the police. It is being told that she was going there to protest Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Kachchi (VCK) chief T Tirumavalavan's alleged remarks on Manusmriti. Talking about Khushboo Sundar, she joined BJP earlier this month.

What's the matter- VCK chief T Thirumavalavan, while addressing a group, had claimed that 'Manusmriti' demeans women and Manu Dharma treats women as prostitutes. Not only this, during this time he also demanded to ban Manusmriti.

Talking about BJP leader Khushboo Sundar when she was detained when she was going to lead the protest organized by BJP's women's wing. The protest was going to take place in Cuddalore. It is being told that the police did not allow the demonstration in Cuddalore. On the other hand, BJP has asked Tirumavalvan to apologize for his statement. BJP says that this statement could provoke communal tension. Seeing his criticisms, Thirumavalavan replied, "I only cited Manusmriti. Manusmriti should be banned. BJP is spreading fake news to promote communal clashes."
