One of the highly infected in the world India's caseload rose to 85,53,657 with 45,903 new infections, while the number of recoveries from the disease crossed 79 lakh, pushing the national recovery rate to 92.56 per cent, says the Union health ministry data updated on Monday. The death toll rises to 1,26,611 with 490 new fatalities.

The number of recoveries increases to 79,17,373, pushing the national recovery rate to 92.56% while the case fatality rate stands at 1.48%. The number of active cases remained below 6 lakh for the 11th consecutive day. One in the top 10 state, Tamil Nadu is showing a gradual dip in cases on Monday November 9 the fresh cases of coronavirus infection recorded is 2308 and the number of deaths is 18. The state capital Chennai bulk sponsor of caseload also  registered a dip in cases as only 585 persons in the city tested positive for the virus.
