Chennai: A man in Tamil Nadu suspected his wife's character and felt that his wife was having an affair elsewhere. On this suspicion, he hanged his children, 9 and 5, from a tree and sent the video to relatives. The incident has come to light from Salem District in Tamil Nadu. Murugan, 33, was married to Murugeshwari and had two children, including a 9-year-old boy and a 5-year-old girl. Murugan had been working in a restaurant for 13 years.

Murugan had an accident at the workplace some time ago, as he was at home from the last 10 the day. Meanwhile, he noticed that his wife was talking to someone over the phone. Murugan interrupted his wife and refused to talk to the other person. In the evening, Murugan took his wife's cell phone to the local shop and took his two children with him. There Murugan hung both his children from a tree and made a video of them. In this video, Murugan said, "That's what you wanted. You wanted to kill us. See are dead now.'' Murugan himself committed suicide by sending this video message to the relatives.

Murugan's wife and her family then lodged a complaint with Sangagiri bridge police station and police has launched a search. The bodies of the two children hanging from a tree and murugan's body were recovered on a mango farm. The police are investigating the matter further.
