The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has made it clear that the Indian team is ready to go on a Sri Lankan tour to play a limited-overs 6-match series, as the outbreak of Coronavirus in Sri Lanka is not much and conditions are also normal there. , But the coronavirus epidemic in India has continued to show its form, causing the Indian team to travel to Sri Lanka. The BCCI has said that the Indian team can go on a Sri Lankan tour for the ODI and T20 series of 3-3 matches, but we will need the government's permission. BCCI treasurer Arun Dhumal has said, 'It all depends on the government instructions related to lockdown ban and travel ban. If we do not compromise the safety and health of our players, then we are open to travel.

This was in response to a Sri Lankan Board (SLC) letter to the BCCI, in which a Sri Lankan Cricket Board official wrote a letter stating that in the end of July they would be playing six matches (3 ODIs, 3 T20Is) of the vacant stadium. India want to host the series, but for this, the Indian players will have to follow the 14-day quarantine time. The Sri Lankan Cricket Board has also offered to host IPL.

Indian players have been imprisoned at home since the nationwide lockdown since March 25. Most of the players living in metro cities have been restricted for fitness, which does not even have a place to run. The Indian board is still waiting for government instructions before they can organize an outdoor skills camp for the players. Apart from this, international travel has not started again.
