Southampton: Team India spinner Akshar Patel has said that the team will have to stay in a three-day hard quarantine before the final of the World Test Championship (WTC) against New Zealand and will then be allowed to practice at the Age's Bowl here. The final match will begin on June 18 and India have limited time to prepare after arriving here on Wednesday. New Zealand, on the other hand, are already playing a two-match series against England.

Team India was in Quarantine for 14 days in Mumbai before its departure and will now have to spend three days again in Southampton at quarantine. "I got a good sleep," Akshar said in a video posted by BCCI. The plan is to warrant. We have been told that we cannot meet each other for three days, so we will be separated for so long. Akshar said this while travelling on a charter plane.

The Indian men's and women's cricket team were on the same flight. After landing in London, the team made a two-hour bus trip to Southampton. India will play a five-Test series against England after the WTC final, while the women's team will play one Test, three ODIs and the same number of T20 Internationals against the home team from June 16.
