New Delhi: In the midst of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2023), the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has taken a tough decision regarding the Asia Cup. Actually, this year the Indian cricket team has to play the Asia Cup along with the World Cup, for which Team India is going to get a new coach. Actually, we are not talking about the Indian men's team, but the women's Indian team, which can get a new coach soon.

According to the report, former Mumbai coach Amol Majumdar, who had applied for the post, is currently seen as the front-runner for the post of coach of the Indian women's cricket team. Actually, the post of coach has been vacant since December 2022. Ramesh Powar has been asked to be shifted to the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru. For  this, applications are being sought by the BCCI, where Amol Majumdar's lead is looking huge at this time.

Talking about Amol Majumdar, he has been a former captain of Mumbai, as well as he has also worked with the IPL team Rajasthan Royals. Amol Majumdar has also coached at the National Cricket Academy and was appointed as Mumbai's coach two seasons ago. He led Mumbai to the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy when he was the coach.
