Patna: A 17-year-old teenager in Bihar fled the vaccination centre after his report came infected on Thursday afternoon. The case took place at a vaccination centre in 10 Plus 2 school at Chakai in Jamui district. The Bihar government has started vaccination for adolescents between the ages of 15 and 18 and in big statistics boys and girls are reaching the vaccination centre. According to the Corona Guidelines, the district administration has provided rapid antigen tests (RATs) for everyone.

When the teenager had an RAT on Thursday and his report was infected, the medical staff started the process of quarantineing him but he fled. Jamui's health department has started the process of tracing it and keeping it in home isolation. Meanwhile, infection between medical staff and doctors is spreading in Bihar. On Thursday, 15 doctors of Patna AIIMS and 12 doctors of Patna Medical College and Hospital were found infected with corona. With this, a total of 550 doctors, medical students and paramedical staff have been found to be infected with corona in Bihar so far.

As corona cases increased in Bihar, people were seen in long queues to undergo RTPCR or antigen tests and get vaccinated in hospitals and health centres. On Thursday, the health department detected 2379 patients in the state, the highest number of 1407 in Patna, followed by Gaya with 177 cases and Begusarai district with 71 cases. In addition, 35 cases were registered in Vaishali, 36 in Madhubani, 31 in Samastipur, 27 in Bhagalpur, 24 in Darbhanga and 20 in Munger.
