After Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar's objection to resume the schools seems to be the main reason for the non-receipt of orders so far on the re-opening of schools. According to CS, the officials were told not to open any educational institutions till the end of this month as per government guidelines and that opening schools without conducting classes would be a violation of central guidelines.

The government has decided to conduct digital classes for intermediate students from today, digital classes for school students from class six to class ten from today, and digital classes for classes 3 to 5 from September 1.
