Mahbubnagar: A couple, Narasimha Reddy (54) and Latha (48), committed suicide by hanging themselves from the fan in Madhura Nagar of Mahbubnagar town on Tuesday. The exact reason behind the suicide is not yet known. The family members of the couple suspect that they may have committed suicide due to prolonged illness. Mahbubnagar Rural SI Ramesh has registered a case and taken it into the investigation. The bodies were sent for post-mortem.

Thus in another tragic incident, a woman died under mysterious circumstances at a hotel in Chandanagar under Serilingampalli police station area. The incident was detected on Tuesday morning on the information of the hotel staff, when the police reached the hotel, opened the door, found the woman dead and one person seriously injured. According to the police, the man, identified as Koti Reddy, a native of Prakasam district, was found at the hotel with a woman on Monday night.

When the police questioned the hospitalized Reddy, he said that his parents refused to accept his marriage proposal, following which he attempted suicide. However, the police are yet to confirm whether the woman committed suicide or was murdered. Police have registered a case and started investigation.
