New Delhi: On the one hand many people have raised their hands to help and serve the victims in the crisis of the Corona epidemic, while some people have made this disaster a means of self-sufficiency. In Hyderabad, up to 10 thousand rupees are being charged as ambulance fare to take the patient just 10 km away. Other states also have a similar situation.
According to TOI, 5 kilometers of ambulance fare in Hyderabad was being charged from 80 to 120 rupees before Corona crisis, but now the fare of 10 kilometers is being charged to 10 thousand. According to the report, a similar incident has come to light in Bengaluru where Rs 15,000 was recovered for a distance of less than 6 km. Private ambulances carrying 5 km up to 6000 to 8000 rupees in Kolkata.
People are unable to protest against this loot in the absence of any other option. It is being told that private ambulances are charging extra up to Rs 3000 in the name of PPE kit and other items. However, the situation is somewhat better in Punjab and Maharashtra, where people are not falling prey to this kind of loot.
