Terrorists lobbed a grenade on security forces in Anantnag

SRINAGAR: On Thursday, terrorists lobbed a grenade on security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag district, at least seven people, including three women and two CRPF jawans, got injured. A police official said  that the grenade was hurled by the militants at the security forces at Sherbagh in the Anantnag area.

However, It is to be noted that this is the second grenade attack on security forces in south Kashmir in the last two days. A case has been registered by the police and probe is on to find the terrorists involved in this attack. The injured were admitted to a hospital and their conditions are stable, said a police official.

Last year in Dec 23, At least seven security personnel, including six CRPF men, were injured in a grenade attack by suspected terrorists in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district

In another incident, terrorists lobbed a grenade at security forces in Shopian district of south Kashmir. Police sources said,  there was no injury to anyone and damage to properties due to the explosion.
Terrorist outfit Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) has claimed responsibly for the grenade attacks. On Wednesday, three civilians were injured after terrorists lobbed a grenade on a police station in Kulgam district.
