Chhatarpur: In Chhatarpur town of MP, a police groom had to fall prey to the bullying of miscreants when he climbed a mare. The miscreants did not allow him to sit on a mare and let him go out of the village by closing the DJ of the procession. The family members informed the police after which in the morning his procession was taken out under police protection.

According to the information received, the incident took place at Kundalya village under the Bhagavan police station area of Chhatarpur district. It was the marriage of police guard Dayachandra son of Bhagirath Ahirwar. Dayachandra is posted at Kotwali in the Tikamgarh district. As a groom, he sat on a mare, but the miscreants did not allow him to sit on the mare and his procession to leave the village.

On the second day, the procession was taken out with fanfare in the police custody when the same incident came to the notice of the police. District Magistrate Sandeep GR and Superintendent of Police Sachin Sharma had rushed to the spot in the incident. They made Dayachandra sit on a horse with fanfare in police custody and get the procession out. Due to this, a heavy police force was deployed at the spot. In the incident, the groom Dayachandra Ahirwar said that in our village, it is customary that a bride of a small religion cannot sit on a mare and take out a procession. I decided to end this practice. When I sat on a mare and took out a procession, outside one of the lanes, some upper caste people stopped the DJ from moving forward. In fact, the procession was coming out of the street where the Savarna caste people live. I gave it to my senior officers. Dayachandra said that right now, the persons of the department have helped in taking out the procession. But there may be problems later on. Some people may argue.
