New Delhi: In a highly anticipated clash at the ODI World Cup 2023, India is set to face New Zealand in Dharamshala. Both teams have maintained an unblemished record in the tournament, having won all four of their matches. As they prepare for this significant encounter, Indian star batsman Virat Kohli acknowledged the challenge of playing against the Black Caps, emphasizing that minimizing mistakes is crucial when facing them.

Kohli commended New Zealand's consistent and mistake-free style of play, highlighting it as a major factor in their success in ICC events. He noted that breaking the rhythm of the Black Caps and performing at their best would be essential for any team facing them.

He also expressed his admiration for New Zealand's cricketing progress over the last 6-7 years, pointing out their presence in the 2015 and 2019 World Cup finals and their victory against India in the ICC Test Championship final.

In the upcoming match, Kohli has the opportunity to set new records. With a century, he could surpass Sachin Tendulkar's record of the most ODI hundreds. Tendulkar currently holds the record with 49 centuries, while Kohli recently notched his 48th century against Bangladesh. Additionally, there is a close competition between Kohli and skipper Rohit Sharma to become the tournament's highest run-scorer. Rohit has scored 265 runs in four matches, closely followed by Kohli with 259 runs in as many matches.

The match between India and New Zealand promises to be a thrilling contest as both teams aim to maintain their winning streaks in the ODI World Cup 2023.
