New Delhi: Earlier, Railway Minister Piyush Goyal accused the Kerala government of non-cooperation. He said that the cost of the Sabarimala rail link project has increased by 512% due to the non-cooperation of the Kerala government. Janha Goyal has said in a letter to Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan that the 111-km Angamali-Sabarimala project has been affected due to non-cooperation of the state government.

According to sources, he said that this project was included in the railway budget with a cost of 550 crores in 1997-98. The budget was also approved in May 2006. The work on the project did not increase much, because the local people were demonstrating about the land acquisition.
