Hyderabad: Omicron cases are on the rise in the country. The number of infected patients who have reached 300 is still increasing at full speed. In Telangana too, the number of Omicron patients has increased to 38. Meanwhile, a village in Telangana has voluntarily imposed lockdown amid panic over Omicron. This is not a government order, but the village panchayat has taken this decision as a precautionary measure.

According to reports, a man had recently returned from the Gulf country in Gudem village. Her report was found to be corona infected. It was later reported that the man was infected with Omicron variant. Due to this, the authorities have reached the village and collected samples of 64 people. These are all people who were directly linked to the infected patient. For now the mother of the infected has also come into fected with corona. But it is yet to be ascertained whether they have omicron or not.

Since Omicron is more contagious than other variants, the village panchayat has decided to impose a 10-day lockdown. Now all the villagers will have to stay indoors for ten days. Although there has been a lockdown in the village, the cases of Omicron are increasing rapidly across Telangana as well. Today there has been a big jump in cases and a total of 14 omicron infected cases have been registered.
