New Delhi: New variants of corona infection are raising concerns of medical experts. Each new variant is working to increase problems. Experts are engaged in research to reduce their impact. Meanwhile, a case of the 'Eta' variant of corona infection has now come to light in Mangalore, Karnataka.

A health department bulletin said that a man was found infected with the Eta variant of corona in Mangalore on Thursday. The man visited Qatar 4 months ago. This is not the first case of Eta edition in the state. Dr. V. Ravi, State Nodal Officer, and Chairman, Corona Hole Genome Sequencing (WGS) Committee said that the case of the first Eta variant in the state came to light in April 2020.

According to medical experts, the case of infection of Eta variant found in Mangalore is not yet a cause for concern. The variant continues to be a 'variant of interest' along with Iota, Kappa, and Lambda. Research on these variants is still underway. On the contrary, alpha, beta, gamma, delta, and delta plus variants of corona infection remain out of concern. These variants have worked to speed up the speed of the virus. According to medical experts, the 'Eta' variant received in Karnataka is not in danger of a third wave in the state. This is because the variant is very old, but it has now been confirmed.
