Secretary Vinod Tihara's faction has come forward to make Rohan the son of late BJP leader and former Union Minister Arun Jaitley the President of Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA). The election stir in the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) was increased after the order of the by-election for six posts of the Delhi High Court. After this, CK Khanna faction, former chairman of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and former vice-president of DDCA, joined hands with current secretary Vinod Tihara. The two groups had also prepared to fight the elections together. Shashi Khanna, the wife of CK Khanna, was a strong candidate for the post of president, but the issue has turned upside after Rohan, the son of former DDCA president and former BCCI vice-president Arun Jaitley, expressed his desire. DDCA's current secretary Vinod Tihara, former chairman SP Bansal and former joint secretary Dinesh Sharma met Rohan at his house on Friday and also supported him for the post of president.

According to sources, CK Khanna can also meet Rohan on Saturday. Dinesh Sharma said that we have supported Rohan for the post of president. We want Rohan to come forward to make Arun Jaitley Stadium world-class. Not only this, everyone should unite and help them get elected unopposed. This should stop the fight fights and Delhi cricket should move in the right direction. CK Khanna is also a senior member of DDCA and he should also get full respect. When CK Khanna was talked about this, he said that my meeting is proposed but the time has not been decided yet. He said that I will not comment on this issue right now.

On June 17, the Delhi High Court ordered that the DDCA conduct the by-elections on six vacant posts within six weeks. The post of the chairman has been vacant since the resignation of senior journalist Rajat Sharma in November last year. The Lokpal of DDCA had also disqualified Delhi MLA Omprakash Sharma, which also led to the vacancy. According to the Companies Act, elections of four directors are also to be held. Vice President Rakesh Bansal is handling the weight of Executive Chairman. DDCA has 4280 members. The conditions will be much stronger with the coming together of these two groups, the winner and runner-up in the last election. Manjit Singh said that the candidates will be announced as soon as the election date is decided.
