Hyderabad: In a shocking incident, Rachakonda police said they have solved the murder of a 75-year-old priest and his son. There is superstition behind this murder. Police said the 31-year-old criminal had known Pujari for a long time. He was confident that if the priest performed special puja for him, he could achieve anything.

According to the police, the criminal had participated in the police recruitment exam in the year 2016. Then the priest took 6 lakh rupees from him and got him to do such a puja so that he could get a job. The priest had also got Rs 12.50 lakh from him to someone else. Even after all this, the criminal did not get the job, so he pressured that person to return his 12.50 lakh rupees. The man gave him Rs 10 lakh in cash and a check of Rs 2.50 lakh, but the priest refused to return Rs 6 lakh to him. According to the report, after this the criminal started facing financial troubles and to get out of this problem also he invested money in worship at many places. He was asking the priest to return his Rs 6 lakh from March 2021 but he was avoiding it.

The same criminal was so convinced that the priest was behind his illness, financial problems, getting caught in law cases and becoming more upset on the full moon night because he was doing black magic on him for not taking the money. Then, he planned to kill the priest with the help of some people. Then on October 14, he along with some accomplices attacked the priest and his son at his house. Both died on the spot. After an investigation, the culprit and his accomplices were arrested, police said.
