The state government has given permission to open schools from 9th to 12th class from September 1 in Tamil Nadu. In this context, School Education Commissioner Nandakumar IAS has sent an important circular to all District Primary Education Officers and District Education Officers. In it, SCERT has instructed to provide monthly assignments to all classes to bridge the learning gap caused by the closure of schools.  Assignments will be based on creativity for students in grades one through five. Students from 6th to 8th grade will be able to test their integrated abilities.

These include small experiments, writing essays, creating collections, sharing their travel experiences, and letter writing. Class 9 and 10 students will be given assignments based on the syllabus. CEOs and CEOs should ensure the creation of whats-up teams consisting of high school and high school principals. CEOs need to ensure the creation of WhatsApp groups consisting of elementary and middle school principals. Unit wise assignments prepared by SCERT should be shared by the officers in all head teacher groups. These should be shared by the head teachers in the school committees and the students should be instructed to do and finish properly.

Unit wise assignments submitted by students should be duly recorded. This should be confirmed by the head teachers. Head teachers should send a report on the assignments to the concerned education authorities at regular intervals. It is advised that all CEOs and CEOs should provide appropriate guidance to all schools to ensure the aforementioned learning and teaching activities.
