Guwahati: A team of Assam Police has reached the residence of Indian Youth Congress (IYC) chief Srinivas Biwi's uncle in Karnataka. In fact, a complaint of harassment has been lodged against Srinivas by Ankita Dutta, former president of Assam Youth Congress, and in connection with this case, the Karnataka Police has reached Srinivas's uncle's house in Basaveshwara Nagar, Bengaluru.

Assam's Joint Police Commissioner Prateek Thube has said, 'We have come here to investigate the matter. We had come to Srinivas wife's house. Since no one was here, we have pasted the notice here, we are also sending the notice to their native place. We have given him notice and asked him to appear before the investigating officer and cooperate with the investigation process.'

Srinivas has received notice under sub-section (1) of section 41 (A) of CrPC. Srinivas has been asked to appear at Dispur police station on May 2 at 11 am in Guwahati. He has been asked to join the investigation in this matter and cooperate fully. If he does not do so, he can be arrested under Section 41A (3) and (4) of the CrPC.
