Lucknow: For the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, Azad Samaj Party chief Chandrashekhar Azad has filed his nomination from Gorakhpur city seat on Tuesday. Chandrashekhar will be mainly contesting from BJP candidate and UP CM Yogi Adityanath. 34-year-old Chandrashekhar has done his LLB from Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna University, Srinagar, Uttarakhand. A total of 17 criminal cases are registered against him.

In the affidavit given by Chandrashekhar to the Election Commission at the time of nomination, he has described himself as a resident of Chhutmalpur in Saharanpur. He has told that in 2012 he has studied LLB from HNBU. In the information given in the affidavit, it has been told that Chandrashekhar has 18 thousand rupees in cash, while his wife has 12 thousand rupees in cash. 26 thousand 369 rupees are deposited in Chandrashekhar's account of State Bank of India (SBI) Chhutmalpur, while 84 thousand 307 rupees are deposited in his wife's account. His wife has another bank account in Punjab National Bank, Muzaffarnagar, in which Rs 3 lakh 18 thousand 617 is deposited.

Let us inform that Chandrashekhar also operates a company by the name of CA News Network Private Limited. Apart from this, 40 grams of gold has been shown in the jewelry, whose value is 1 lakh 96 thousand rupees. According to this, the total assets of Chandrashekhar are 2 lakh 40 thousand 369 rupees.
