Bhopal: Big piece of news is coming out from Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh, where chlorine gas leaked in a settlement caused a ruckus. After breathing problems and irritation in the eyes, people came in panic and came out of their houses and gathered on the road. As soon as the administration got the news of this sudden 'gas tragedy', the collector and municipal commissioner reached the spot. After the gas leak, 3 persons were admitted to Hamidia Hospital due to more difficulty in breathing, whose condition is now fine.

On Wednesday night, the chlorine gas leakage incident took place in Bhopal's Mother India Colony Basti. After irritation in the eyes and difficulty in breathing, almost all the people of the settlement came out of their homes. The people of the area immediately informed the administration and soon a team from the Municipal Corporation reached the spot. Bhopal Collector and Municipal Commissioner also reached the spot.

After a preliminary investigation, the municipal corporation team came to know that the leakage of chlorine gas was ensuing from the water filter plant near the settlement. The nozzle of the nearly 900 kg cylinder installed in the plant was damaged. So gas was leaking from that cylinder.

The municipal team put the gas cylinder into the water with the help of cranes to prevent gas leakage. Subsequently, the gas leakage was closed by adding 5 kg of caustic soda. 3 People were having a lot of breathing problems. They have been discharged from the hospital after treatment. After the incident, the administration stopped the supply of water in the affected area today as a precautionary measure. On receiving the news of the incident, Gas Relief Minister Vishwas Sarang and Bhopal Mayor Malti Rai Hamidia rushed to the medical hospital and enquired about the condition of the injured.
