Seven soldiers of the 83rd battalion of the Border Security Force were coming from Barmer from Sedwa for their official work. Meanwhile, a BSF vehicle and a speeding truck from the front collided head-on near Chauhatan town. In this accident, two Border Security Force personnel died on the spot and 5 others were seriously injured.

They immediately rushed the soldiers who were seriously injured in the accident to the hospital in Chauhatan. After first aid there, four jawans were referred to The Medical College Hospital in Barmer. At the same time, an injured jawan was kept in Chauhatan Hospital for treatment. Later, two jawans from Barmer have also been referred to Jodhpur. On getting information about the accident, BSF officials, District Collector Lokbandhu, ASP Narpat Singh Jaitawat and SDM reached the spot.
District Collector Lokbandhu said that there was a collision between the BSF vehicle and the truck. There were 7 soldiers in the vehicle. 2 soldiers of the 83rd battalion of BSF. Tudu and Dheeraj Kumar are dead. 5 jawans including N Silvas and Kundan KR Dubey are injured. Doctors have been directed to provide better treatment to the injured jawans. The Collector has confirmed that the BSF jawans were on official work and this traumatic accident happened while on duty.
